​We had been looking for some time to have our bathroom remodeled but a plumbing failure and complete replumb brought it up the priority list. We have had other trades people perform work and some were good, some bad, but mostly average and with so many options it’s a lottery what you will end up with. This time our expectations were exceeded with Alex. There were many instances where I was impressed. He turned up on time, was patient with our scope of work changes and understood that sometimes it take the customer a few days to ponder on layout, color, sizing. We stayed within budget despite our design changes, and one misunderstanding which was our fault. Also the room was challenging as it’s on the third level of the house and the construction is 30+ years old with inconsistencies in level. On one level there was a 1 inch variance which Alex expertly navigated. Craftsmanship in this situation was impressive, especially when dealing with ceramics. a couple of suggestions for prospective clients, buy good quality tile, take your time when considering design changes as there’s a very good chance your initial plan will evolve as the project progresses. We have suggested to Alex and Julia that we are ok if someone wants to see the completed project in person.
